	LIMESTONE Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed from compressed plant and animal remains at the bottom of lakes and seas. The hardness and density of limestone can vary widely, so it is wise to seek advice from us on which limestone is most suitable for your intended use. Most limestones come in beige or cream, however the Amarestone range has been extended from off-white through to a dense black and can be honed, antiqued or highly polished to create the desired effect.
	TRAVERTINE Travertine is an extremely hardwearing stone that has been used for floors and walls since Roman times. It is formed from hot springs bubbling up through underground limestone which results in the characteristic small holes in the stone. These holes may be filled at the quarry and the tiles honed to give a smooth, matt contemporary look or they can be left unfilled and tumbled to give a more rustic appearance. Like marble, travertine can be used throughout the home.
